Over fourteen years of process engineering experience in the wider oil and gas industry, covering all stages of the project lifecycle on greenfield and brownfield projects, from concept and feasibility studies through FEED to detailed design. The work spans offshore and onshore facilities, across a variety of projects and roles with both operators and engineering contractors.
Work is taken on directly or through agencies, on site or remotely, for onshore and offshore facilities. Assignments are not limited to the UK.
Heat and mass balances, PFDs and P&IDs, line sizing, hydraulics, equipment sizing and specification, datasheets and design basis documents.
Steady-state and dynamic modelling in Aspen HYSYS and UniSim Design, and flare system analysis in FlareNet.
Relief and blowdown design, flare and vent systems, hazardous area classification, and the supporting safety documentation.
HAZOP participation, including scope preparation, close-out of actions and independent process engineer role.
Independent review of process deliverables, and support or mentoring for less experienced engineers within a client team.
Engagements are interim or project-based: filling a gap in a client team, taking a defined scope end to end, or providing independent review of critical deliverables.
Work can be delivered remotely or on client sites. Rates, terms and scope are agreed and documented prior to work commencing.
